Dried mealworms are a protein-rich and tasty food source for birds. Did you know – Mealworms are not worms! They are larvae of the mealworm beetle.
Our mealworms have been given a plant-based diet, making them safe for birds to consume, they will provide the protein requirements birds need to get through, especially when they need more energy like during breeding season.
Pro-tip: add a small layer of water to the mealworms and they will soften, making them even more delicious! Mealworms can be fed in bird feeders, on the ground or on feeding tables – and make excellent additions to other bird food mixes.
